Wellness Driven Purpose
The purpose of our Care Team K9 program is to help mitigate the effects of post traumatic stress potentially brought on by traumatic calls for service and/or events.
Care team K9s are also to act as bridges reaching the heart of community members and peers to strengthen departmental outreach efforts while simultaneously caring for their handlers.
Not Just A Therapy Dog
Our Care Team K9s go beyond being mere therapy dogs; they are, in fact, ADA-certified service dogs specifically trained to perform a variety of essential tasks that help their handlers effectively manage daily job-related stress.
These remarkable dogs bring not only companionship and comfort, but they also play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of their handlers by providing support during challenging moments at work. Their specialized training enables them to assist in navigating stressful environments, making them invaluable assets in fostering a healthier workplace atmosphere.
