Get Started by completing our service dog application. a Copy of your doctors note and DD214 will be required in order to complete application.
After we review and accept your application we will bring you in to our next group orientation.
Prospective handlers will be required to volunteer at WDFW kennels working with dogs, learning how to properly care for and maintain their potential dog. During this time prospective handlers will learn and participate in our many wellness related courses!
Handlers will be matched with a dog and begin our service dog training program as per our WDFW training standards focusing on foundation obedience, building handler skills, and building a bond between handler and K9!
Handlers will continue foundation training and begin public access training. Handlers will also have opportunities to participate in School Visits, demos Ect.
Handlers and K9s will spend this phase testing their k9s capabilities and proficiency in their tasks in various environments and situations.
Graduates must achieve a minimum training hours, pass all WDFW tests and display K9s ability to provide a task to their handler!
Handlers will be encouraged to continue training and participating in wellness events with their warrior family, continuing strengthening the everlasting bond with their K9.
